In 2021, the ISU launched a new synchronised skating division: Junior & Senior Elite-12s. This year, VicSynchro are planning a brand new team with the goal of competing internationally in the Elite-12 division.
The “Elite 12” concept is intended to provide a competitive alternative for members with fewer top level skaters and has the potential to make the discipline more exciting with increased speed of movement and more possibilities for technical elements. It should also allow the discipline to increase its chances of becoming an Olympic sport in the coming years.
VicSynchro are excited by the possibilities that this new division can offer to our high level Victorian skaters as we all move forward from the challenges of the past two years,
